📜 Acceptance of Terms
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Maps Driving Directions ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for the use of the Maps & Directions browser extension ("Software").
⚠ Important
By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.
This Agreement takes effect the moment you install the Software. We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.
🔑 License Grant
Subject to the terms of this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Install and Use: Install and use the Software on compatible web browsers for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Access Features: Access and use all features provided by the Software as intended.
- Updates: Receive and install updates to the Software when made available.
✅ What You Can Do
Use the extension to search for directions, access Google Maps and Bing Maps, and enhance your browsing experience with quick navigation to any destination.
🚫 Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- Modify or Reverse Engineer: Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the Software.
- Redistribute: Distribute, sublicense, lease, rent, loan, or otherwise transfer the Software to any third party.
- Remove Notices: Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Software.
- Illegal Use: Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Automated Access: Use automated systems, scripts, or bots to access or interact with the Software in ways not intended.
- Circumvent: Attempt to circumvent any security features or access controls of the Software.
© Intellectual Property
The Software and all copies thereof are proprietary to the Company and title remains with us. All rights in the Software not specifically granted in this Agreement are reserved to the Company.
- Ownership: The Software is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions.
- Trademarks: All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are owned by the Company or its licensors.
- Third-Party Content: The Software may include content from third parties (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo) which remains the property of their respective owners.
⚠ Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- The implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or completeness of information
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
💡 Understanding This Section
We do our best to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee the Software will always work perfectly or meet all your expectations. Use it at your own discretion.
💰 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- The Company shall not be liable for any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
- In no event shall the Company's total liability exceed the amount paid by you for the Software (if any).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
🛑 Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated:
- By You: You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling and destroying all copies of the Software.
- By Us: We may terminate this Agreement immediately if you fail to comply with any term of this Agreement.
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
🔄 How to Uninstall
You can remove the extension at any time through your browser's extension management settings. This will terminate this Agreement.
⚖ Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
- Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Software.
